EXIT SIGN BATTERY TYPES
Only three types of battery cells are used in modern Exit Signs: nickel-cadmium (NiCad), nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), and sealed lead-acid. Nickel-cadmium batteries can last up to ten years and come in various sizes and capacities to fit different requirements.

EXIT SIGN LAMP TYPES

There are two bulb options for existing exit signs: 1) incandescent bulbs matching bulb shape, base and wattage found in incandescent exits; 2) LED retrofits with equivalent brightness and base options to match existing exit signs. Because exit signs have 24 hours run time, low wattage and long life LEDs can be an extremely attractive replacement option.
